PRESENTATION OF QUARTERLY FINANCIAL REPORT
The Treasurer, Mr. Yaw Antwi Nyanin, presented the report. The report showed a positive balance for the first time in Asantemankuo history. The Treasurer appealed for prompt payment of membership dues for the balance to be sustained. Our President, Joseph Nana Tano added his voice to this call with an explanation that there was yet a portion of the website Designer fee that needs to be paid and so members must heed to the call to pay dues.
The report was adopted by members after a move by Joseph Nana Tano was seconded by Mr. Peter Kuffour for its acceptance.

UPCOMING PICNIC

The Planning Committee Chairman, Mr. Sylvanus Asiamah gave an update of the 17th July picnic. According to him participating groups still remain and there were indications that more might join. He also appealed to members to endeavor to participate in all programs that might take place at the picnic. Mr. Asiamah solicited for donations and asked those who had already promised various items and money to make good their promises. He declared the after-picnic dance as cancelled for now until further notice due to difficulties in securing a venue for the date – 17th July.

NOTICE TO ALL MEMBERS

The President called members’ attention to the circulation of flyers that is announcing the formation of ASANTEMAN ASSOCIATION OF CENTRAL OHIO. According to him the owners of the said association are making phone calls to our members asking them to join their group. This was deception, according to Nana Tano, because it was being carried out by some individuals who have been active in our affairs recently and surprisingly have not given any indication of their intentions. He stressed that the use of a name similar to ours bothers on legality and that he (President) was in consultation with the Assntemankuo’s Attorney about the issue after which he will inform members about the next course of action. While emphasizing the fact that members have the free-will to join any association, he reminded the meeting that our association is still strong and has not asked any group or individual to do any such thing. He promised to monitor the situation and swiftly act to forestall any division that might rear its head. He asked members to be strong, not to fall for individuals who are parading around deceiving people to support their personal ambitions.

PRESENTATION OF THE ASANTEMANKUO WEBSITE

The association’s website, designed by Mr. Abe Garba was formally presented to member, live, on a bigger screen by the Designer. During the presentation it was agreed that apart from the executives whose photographs posted at the site shall have names there shall be no names on that of the members at the website.
After the presentation Mr. Yaw Antwi Nyanin moved for the acceptance of the design. This was followed by opening of champagne and toasting proposed by Mr. Nyanin thus: “on behalf of the President, Board and Members of the Asantemankuo I am happy that the website is ready so let us drink and make merry”.
We all made merry and left the meeting at 8.00 pm
